GHETTO SADIE'S

Ok, so anyone who went to Sadie's saw the super corny Remove Formatting from selectiondecorations. I would love to know who decided to make everything Pokemon so that way I could personally punch them in the brain with a Q-tip. Then on top of that the dj was being gay and wouldn't take requests and on top of that, they didm't even play the Sadie Hawkin's Dance song by Relient K! Come on!!! That is like a must have at Sadie's. But yeah, it was cool none the less. And word to the wise, DO NOT see Madea Goes To Jail unless you want waste $10 on a movie about a lawyer that falls in love with a prostitute. I think Madea is in the movie for a total of....5 minutes? It's stupid, trust me.

Wise Words From a Friend

In a recent conversation with a friend I revealed some of the "wisdom "a friend had shared with me on a very touchy subject...love.

Someone once told me that love has no reason. And, if you know the reason why you love that person, it's false love. I was confused when this was told to me because up until this was said to me I thought I knew WHY I loved. But the more I thought about it, the more i realized they were right. I got to pondering it and I saw the logic behind it. If you love someone for a specific reason or reasons...then what happens when they change? Do you stop loving them because that reason or thing you loved them for has changed? The more I thought about it the more I realized I had no idea why I loved my boyfriend. Among my friends I am commonly asked why do I go through the arguments, why do I deal with some of my boyfriends undesirable actions, in general as they would say, why do I put up with it? And I can't give a reason other than because I love him. It's inexplicable and an odd philosophy to ponder when so many people today have it backwards and I thought I would share it so you could ponder it too.

A Book Everyone Should Read

I know everyone is probably going to put Twilight but this is actually a hard one....A book everyone should read is called Freak Show by James St. James. This book is a about a seventeen year old boy named Billy Bloom that moves from his very liberal mother's house to his extremely conservative father's house in the most republican part of Florida. Billy is different though....he's a drag queen and proud to flaunt it. At his new school he shows up in full drag which doesn't agree with the illiberal student body. He falls in love with the quarter back of the football team and experiences extreme controversy from the elite group of blond sadists.

Now you are probably thinking why on earth would I read a book about a drag queen? Well everyone should read it because it is seriously the most outrageous thing I've ever read. Not only is it funny but it truly does have a good moral...you just have to look a little harder than normal :) Everyone could use a little bit of drag queen humor so don't knock it before you try it!!!

Blogging is Myspace???

If you have overly protective parents like mine you know exactly what I'm talking about. Allow me to lay the foundation of this discussion down for you. MYSPACE = THE DEVIL. My parents think that myspace is the place where people go to be loose, post dirty pictures of themselves, and write profanity and raunchy things to their friends. On top of that, they swear that if you have myspace that someone's going to track it back to me or I'm going to start talking to someone, meet up with them, and then I'm going to get kidnapped and killed. CRAZY huh? Too good to be true??? Well I'm serious. So, my mom called asking what I was doing and I told her making a blog for homework.....pause, pause, pause....
Mom: "You mean like a MYSPACE??"
Me: "Uh...no."
Mom: "Is it where you can post things and people can talk to you and everything?"
Me: "Umm....yeah?"
Mom: "So it is like myspace."
Me: " No, it's not like a MYSPACE!!!"
Mom: "FIRST OFF DON'T TAKE THAT TONE WITH ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT!!! AND I WANT TO SEE THIS 'HOMEWORK' YOU HAVE TO DO."
Me: (In my head) Holy crap....not again....

So I need some opinions, myspace=blogging??? Or am I just crazy to think it's not??
